Story 4 – Aron 

Aron worked in Cinecittà at the printing press office.  Dr Leon Bernstein, Secretary General of the Organization of Jewish Refugees in Italy, wrote in support of Aron to have him accepted in Cinecittà camp as a permanent inhabitant: “The training of new printer is of utmost importance for us, since there was always a great need of Jewish specialists in this branch it exists today the more after many of them perished during the wartime. In connection with our increasing cultural activities there is a special demand for additional printers. Since we have no possibilities to house Mr. Aron Latzki we would ask you kindly to enable him to enter the Cinecittà camp that is under Your auspices as a permanent inhabitant.”
